Sorry

Hello all

Didn't mean to be away this long, in fact did not mean to be away at all. My tablet had to be sent away for repair and even though I have had it back a while I was out of the habit I suppose. I really have some reading to do as well to catch up with you all.

It's been a time of not much happening really. School broke up, work carried on fine and my poor plants have been struggling. I have managed a little harvest but something is killing off the courgettes and I think the mange tout came out in sympathy. I am on for a good little crop of tomatoes though. They are looking well. Knew I did right to buy the sort that need no interference.

  5. My courgette harvest has been rubbish this year, I think it was the cold weather early in the summer xxx

  6. You've got a water-loving dog, just like mine. Always happy to be in water - but hates going out in the rain! I seem to be ending up with a whole lot of green tomatoes - I've had a couple of handsful which had ripened, but these are simply refusing to turn red.
Also my 2 'mild pepper' plants have healthy looking peppers but they are (so far) also refusing to go either red or green, just staying a creamy colour and I'm pretty sure that's not right. I had a lovely colourful garden early on, but the wind and rain have ruined so many flowers and plants - and don't even mention the slugs!! UGH!!

    1. So right about the rain with my dog. But happily goes underwater chasing stones.
The garden produce has been a struggle, am really hoping the tomatoes turn red as they smell delicious. Made a great passatta last year from Cro's recipe

  7. It's lovely to have you back. Love the doggy picture. Your harvest looks ok. My dad has an allotment and says that over the years he has noticed that each year a crop will do well and another will be quite rubbish and he's found that his peas have done well this year but his tomatoes not so good.
