oops

Hello.

Thanks for yesterday's comments.

I thought I was doing very well with my gluten free experiment. But a while ago I began to get familiar pains in my gut. Sharp pains that double me up, bloat my stomach and make me feel sick. Puzzled, I turned to Google.  It turns out the rice cakes I ate for lunch and again this afternoon are not gluten free. I have eaten 5 all together today. It's the Kallo range, the spicy chilli ones. I had them in from ages ago. I've been on the website and when I do the tick box for gluten free they disappear.
Flipping heck, I may as well have had the toast I have been craving. least the pain would have been worth it.
Have got corn thins for lunch tomorrow.yay.

Take care
x

  1. God why does healthy food have to be so damned boring?

    1. tell me about it - I love salad and humus and all that, a lot. But white bread toasted to a lovely golden colour with butter melting on it. Nothing beats it ha

    1. Rice cakes though!!!! Some flavours are gluten free. Normally rice cakes wouldn't affect me but that was such an acute attack. I presume it was them.

    3. Socca is made with chickpea flour and polenta with cornmeal, both GF and are very different to cook with.

  4. It's always been a bit like that as my mum was diabetic and my son is dairy intolerant. Seems gluten is hidden in things that they don't need to point out. My stomach is proper tender but manageable thanks. Helping me keep on the straight and narrow
